You guys loved my post on the brands and stores I love to shop, so I’m bringing back some more of my favorites and laying out what I typically wear to work in a week. Obviously, this always is changing but I think we all have those few items we always reach for and these are mine. If you didn’t know, I’m mostly a neutrals girl, but with spring now here I have been trying to wear a little more color to work. Sometimes it’s just easier to say f*ck it and throw on a black dress and blazer and call it a day… but it’s also fun to play with new styles and colors, too.
I hope this helps you find your staples for your Monday-Friday looks because really, it’s all about building some sort of a capsule wardrobe that you can mix and match. I swear, once I find something I love, I buy it in a million colors lol (like these pants) so try new things out and find your go-to’s! Now let’s get into mine…
BLAZERS
Okay, I’m starting with the most obvious, but let’s be honest… a blazer just makes your whole outfit look more put together. Think jeans and a tank, but with a blazer thrown over it. Instantly looks like you put a ton of effort into your outfit. Over the years I’ve definitely put together a pretty good blazer collection but my advice is to slowly accumulate one of every style that you like. Have an oversized style, have a more fitted style, grab one with a print you love, try faux-leather – the options really are endless.

PANTS / TROUSERS
Another item that isn’t too exciting but… a good pair of trousers is ESSENTIAL. This is usually what I reach for on a daily basis because they’re comfortable, look professional, and can be styled in a million different ways. Once you find a pair of trousers that fit well it’s like the f*cking holy-grail item lol. I found these $50 trousers and I’m not even kidding… I pretty much wear these every day, I have them in so many colors. If you’re not into the trouser look, grab a chic pair of pants that look good on you and look good with everything. I promise, you’ll thank me later.

MATCHING SETS
When I want to change it up from my typical outfit situation, I go for a matching set. I feel like a matching set always looks so stylish and fun, especially when you grab something in a bright color or print. Not going to lie, a bright ass pink set isn’t my go-to, but like I mentioned, I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone and bring in some color for spring and summer. The best part about matching sets is that all you pretty much have to do is find a basic tank or tee to go under it and you’re done. Barely any effort, but chic AF.

JEANS
For the days I want to keep it a little more casual, I always go for a classic pair of jeans. As we all know, you can pair anything (and I mean anything) with jeans, so having multiple pairs that fit well and are high-quality is crucial. I like keeping a few different fits and washes in my closet so I have a lot to work with. I would recommend keeping the distressing to a minimum in a work environment though, it just looks more professional when there isn’t a ton of holes in your jeans IMO.
