I recently shared these 3 quick tips in my newsletter (subscribe on the pop-up here) and realized I wanted them to live permanently on the blog as I think they could be so helpful for many of you. We’re always trying to improve the quality of our lives, but sometimes it can feel like there are a million different steps you have to take to actually make a difference. Daunting much? Or it’s the same shit you hear everywhere… I’m talking green juice and morning affirmation vibes. Now I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that by any means, but I wanted to share my 3 quick tips that are actually easy, realistic, and have helped me improve my day-to-day immensely.
Hopefully, the addition of one (or all three) of these tips into your routine can make a difference for you! I’d love to hear some of your own quick tips, so make sure to drop them for me in the comments below!
Call it a Night Early (and I mean early…)
One simple way to successfully set yourself up for the week ahead? Make it a ritual to go to bed super early on Sunday nights (like I’m talking phones off and lights out at 9 PM latest). This is will change your whole Monday morning energy, which then makes the rest of your week that much more productive (and enjoyable)… And trust me, you will never regret the extra beauty sleep.
Schedule a Standing FaceTime Date
As busy as we are, it’s not always easy keeping up with our best friends as much as we would love to. Maybe you haven’t talked to a friend for so long that sometimes you even ignore their call because you know there’s no such thing as a “quick” catch-up and you don’t have the time. Well, I have been very guilty of this so just recently, two of my best friends from New York and I started a group-Facetime call where we make it a priority on our calendar to see each other, catch up, and have our own little Sex & The City moment every week. This call has been so beneficial to each of us personally and has renewed and strengthened our bond. I didn’t know how much I needed this until we did it. Consider this an important weekly meeting- your friends and you will be better for it.
Revisit Old Hobbies
What’s one thing you used to do when you were younger that you loved but somehow lost touch with? They say to feed your soul you should revisit some of your old hobbies… One of mine was tennis. It seemed inconvenient with my schedule to start taking up tennis lessons again, but I decided to give it a shot. And wow, taking up a new hobby (outside of your normal work and exercise routine) really does fill up your proverbial cup. It’s given me a renewed sense of confidence and joy. So I highly recommended taking the plunge and starting by revisiting that one thing that’s always gnawing you in the back of your mind.
