As I’ve talked about before, I’m a big advocate for moving your body in some way daily. Whether it’s a full workout class, or simply getting some steps in before I start my day, making accomplishing some form of movement a priority has drastically improved my life! I find I’m more productive and happy and my anxiety lessened. We all know there are so many benefits to being active, but if you’re anything like me and your schedule seems to ALWAYS be hectic, it’s easy to let that fall to the back seat. If you don’t have time to make it to the gym (or if it just isn’t your thing), I’m sharing a few workouts you can try right now from the comfort of your own home. These workouts are effective and have SO many different options for any fitness level, interests, or time limit.
Melissa Wood Heath
Melissa has a large range of workouts, but I’d say she’s specifically amazing for anything low-impact. I’m talking pilates, yoga, stretching, and she even has meditation classes. If you like something a little more low-key but still totally effective, MWH is a great option.
FORM
FORM is a new program I’ve come across by LA-based trainer Sami Clarke. You’ll find so many different workout options on FORM, from strength workouts to pilates to barre and more. There are also frequent “challenges” on the app, like a 14-day abs challenge or strength-only program which always is helpful when it comes to staying motivated. Cause let’s be honest, sometimes it’s f*cking hard.
Obé Fitness
This app truly has it all and pretty much has you covered for everything fitness and wellness. Live classes? Workouts from multiple trainers for basically anything? Personal training? A period tracker? Check. Check. Check. Check. You can even filter your workouts for specific types of music played. Insane. I’ll be honest, this app is a little overwhelming at first because of the sheer amount of options, but once you get the hang of it, it’s great. You’ll definitely never be bored, that’s for sure.
When in doubt, search Pinterest or Youtube
If you’re more of an in-the-moment type of person, you can’t go wrong with Pinterest or YouTube workouts. There are so many amazing trainers and completely free workout programs out there, so do some searching and find your faves.
Obviously, there are a TON of at-home workouts to choose from, but these are the few that have interested me as of late. The most important thing is to find what you like and what works for your body, even if that means simply going on a 30-minute walk daily. I’ve started to play tennis again recently and it’s been an amazing workout! Try some out and see what you like…
